When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!
LHC is down until the 18th. That gives us a week exactly to try a new goal. I though it would be cool to for us to each pick a goal (or two) and do our best to stick to them for the week.
Here's mine:
I pledge to drink at least 48 oz. of water a day.
Why (optional): I'm traveling, and I'll be in water for a lot of the time. I never drink enough water normally, so I want to stay hydrated. Plus, it's good for my overall health!

I'm going to clean out the storage room and maybe go through some of the boxes of stuff I have here at home.
I'm going to walk every day (at least 40 minutes).

Those are both good goals. I don't do enough of either~:purplex:
My goal is to walk each day during my lunch break. Wish me luck!

I'm going to try to exercise every day and if not exercise, then an hour walk.

I'm going to take care of myself this week. I need to drink my water, take my vitamins, eat my veggies, run, and not slouch around in my jammies all day because I don't have to go anywhere. Basically, be a normal person.

Steph's goal sounds pretty close to mine. I have touble with the whole laying around in pajama's during the summer. :purplex: I also need to practice my piano more. Perhaps add another 15 minutes to my regular time.

I'm going to try and get back my Flylady routines after my holiday followed by hubby's leave for a further week (it throws my routines right out when he's always around!) So far today all I have done is a five minute tidy of my daughter's room and updating my website which was on my to-do list!
Making Lemonade - love it!

Yes FlyBaby, must kick into gear. Goals are keep house presentable, make dinner every other night (i alway cook double). Dishes and laundry are a priority. They spread like the desert if I get behind.

My goals...
Finish my friend's website so I can wash my hands of the whole fiasco.
Make my mei tai so DS can be happy on my back instead of feeling like he's going to take a nose dive out of the ring sling.
Paint edging in hallway so DH can paint when he gets back from his business trip.
Wow, that's a pretty lofty list, isn't it? I should be finished the mei tai tonight, so that leaves Tuesday-Saturday nights to do the rest (I can't paint or use the computer when DS is awake because he's a little mischeif maker!)

Goal for just the week? That's a hard one. Argh, get my bedroom cleaned. I know in advance it's not going to happen. Great goal, that. :rain:

Good thread! Actually I have some new music to work on and some older pieces that I chickened out on a few months ago. It is time to get back on the horse and take another crack at it.:lafhard:

I think I will get serious about writing my on line class, which is my most pressing summer project. I want to start the "typing in and laying out" kind of working, as opposed to the "reading about and planning my head" kind of working.
Wish me luck--any suggestions or advice welcome!

Let's see.....
Clean out half my closet (I already got all the winter stuff out)
Give away what I clean out of the closet.:geek:
Clean my bathroom
Call my best friend and talk for more than an hour
Clean out the kitchen cabinets and actually get rid of anything that has not been used in the last year.
Clean my computer area up and re-organize it
I can't say I'll get out of my jammies, tho. I cannot stand anything close fitting if I am home. It's a FMS quirk.:gurn:

ooh! I know! I need to get off my butt and hem my two dresses! I went ahead and made two dresses..and I haven't hemmed either one. I need to just go ahead and do it or I'll never be able to wear them!!
I also want to finish the book I'm reading (don't kill me ASOIAF fans..I started reading the last book a while ago and couldn't get into it (I think I was burned out) and then school and such got in the way so I'm just now reading it. And of course wondering how the heck I wasn't able to get into it earlier) as it's due back at the library on the 17th. I have my own copy at home but forgot to bring it with me so I had to get it from the library =D.
I should be able to do both of these. I have a bit under 200 pages left in the book, and the dresses are just a matter of just going ahead and doing it.

...one finished =p
I just finished A Feast for Crows. Good book even if it did make me cringe..but I don't think there has been one that hasn't done that. Any potential readers- don't let that scare you off..they are excellent books
Of course, now I'm saying A Dance with Dragons needs to be out now
