I laugh every time I see these shampoo commercials esp Pantene with their silky shiny hair. I keep thinking; yep keep on coating and covering up that dull drab hair and keep applying that shine spray on while us LHCers have REAL, NATURAL, shiny hair. Heck I used pantene for YEARS and my hair NEVER shined like that. In fact my hair was dull and slightly dry. Now I just shampoo bar with acv rinse and slight oiling and I'm alot shinier then when I used pantene. people he he he. YAAAAY for LHC which I miss dearly

henna gave my hair amazing shine... i use cones but they arent for shine they are strictly for detangling... i only used pantene once in my life because its too expensive. you know that those hair models dont really use pantene at all i think that they should get a lawsuit about false advertizing.

Yeah cones make my hair tangly. I have so much better luck with non-cones. I do however want to try cassia since I don't want to color my hair.

My hair loves cones.
It thickens my hair up a little, and smooths it down.
But, I also use Honey as a conditioner and I think that helps.

What do the hair models use, then?

Good question. I wonder that as well. I think there was a thread on LHC in which someone said they actually go in after and digitally add shine to each strand! Talk about false advertising! :eureka: I think LHC should have some public service announcements featuring close up pics of what damaged hair looks like and maybe some unadulterated pantene models!

Yeah, LHC sure has many a-m-a-z-i-n-g heads of hair!! :soppy: Ack, I miss that place..
- As for me -- who needs cones! Give me a bottle of natural shampoo, a jaw of organic coconut oil and cold water rinses -- and I'll give you shine! And more than I ever got using pantene/sunsilk/garnier/whatever.. :whoohoo:

not all of us can go totally natural. My hair dislikes oil except those nape hairs. It goes crunchy and tangly, dark and looses all shine. I need my sulfate schampoo and I like cones for detangling. No offense to those of you who likes 100% natural, but it doesn't work for everyone.

I heard that some of the models use shine spray and prob some pc manipulation.

I figured this thread would be a good excuse to share a picture I have of my hair that shows off it's insane shine... It was a bright day and I was sitting by a window, but NOT in the direct sunlight pouring through. No flash was used, and there's no product in my hair at all. I don't use any cones in my hair, either.

I always knew my hair was shiny but :boggle:... it was never that shiny when I was using cones!
