View Full Version : Eczema gift basket?

I'm putting together a gift basket for my girlfriends b-day (which was a month ago, but we're finally having dinner Tuesday.) Have a gift card for a spa, and looking for a couple of filler items. Was going to go to Lush for some bath bombs, etc., but since we're having dinner practically next door, I think I'll do something different (so we don't walk in there after dinner and she sees what I spent!)
Now I'm thinking of getting her a healthy natural basket. She's tended to use mainstream products to no great effect so I want to steer her in the natural direction.

She sometimes gets some eczema patches so I thought some products with emu might be a good start, but I'd love some other suggestions! (Oh, and if they're cheap, even better!)

I've heard emu is good, but I've never used it since it's an animal product. I've found that unrefined hemp oil is very similar in effects to emu oil. I love whipped shea butter, I use unrefined shea butter whipped with avocado, unrefined hemp oil, vitamin e and lavender essential oil on my eczema. It knocks out the itch nearly immediately and moisturizes wonderfully - generally when I use it, it only takes a few days to a week for the eczema to subside. Eczema is one of those awful malidies that has different remedies for different people though - what works for some may not work for others.
