Anyone have any good marinating recipes? Not too difficult ones? I just remembered to take some chicken breasts out to BBQ and thought a yummy marinade would be nice for a change.
Any fav Kraft dressing ones?
TIA!

Italian salad dressing is always good.
In general, a gloop of oil, a slosh of vingar, salt, pepper, and whatever other spices you like is good. Maybe some fruit or vegetable juice.
If the skin is off the chicken, cutting a few deep slices into the meat will let the marinade penetrate better.
If you like Indian tandoori chicken, you can get bottled tandoori marinade. Mix with a quart of yougurt, then marinade overnight. Grill as you would normally. Yum.

Sometimes I like to marinate chicken in slightly watered down pickle juice. Makes it taste like Chic-Fil-A..... YUM! Another good mix is watered down soy and/or teriyaki sauce, a couple of dashes of garlic salt, and a little lemon pepper. Italian salad dressing is also a good & easy marinade.
If you plan on grilling the chicken you can boil it first until it's about halfway done. Comes out perfect on the grill, it's nice & tender and is done all the way through.
Good luck!:whoohoo:

I'm really into WishBone's Romano Basil Vinaigrette salad dressing as a marinade at the moment. I made some fantastic grilled chicken breasts with it a couple weeks ago.

I saw Martha marinate once with tequila, cilantro and lime. It just seemed like such a waste of good tequila. (sp)

I usually use plenty of garlic and oregano (plus a few other spices if I feel like it, but those are the main ones) in some oil. I love how it comes out.

I've had good results with ranch dressing for chicken fingers. I'm not sure how it would be grilled, but it could be worth a try.

Italian or any type of vinagrette dressing is great for a fast quick marinade. I love it!
You could also do a quick teriyaki type marinade using soy sauce, garlic (fresh or pdr), onions (fresh or pdr), ginger (again fresh or pdr), vinager and a sweetener of some sort (honey, molasses, corn syrup or dissolved sugar). Yum! Okay now I am hungry!~:p

I like to marinate my chicken in a mixture of citrus juice, (lemon or orange or a mix of both) a splash of evoo, sea salt, fresh cracked black pepper, a little garlic, and basil and thyme. I put my mixture and chicken breasts in a zipper bag and toss it in the fridge for most of the day. Then grill. Turns out pretty yummy.
Shella, thanks for the boiling idea. I am going to have to try that. :whoohoo:

I use one like Shermie-girl's:
Lemon juice
Oil
Salt/pepper/other spices of choice (I like celery-salt, actually)
Little bit of garlic (brings out the flavors!)
Brown sugar to take the edge off the lemon
Oh, Lily Munster! I totally feel what you're saying about the tequila. Knowing Martha, she used Cuervo Gold. Maybe we could use cheap crap tequila (IS there such a thing as crap-tequila?) MMMMM, tequila.

I love marinating my chicken in Zesty Italian Dressing. I usually toss baby carrots, broccoli, and stewed tomatoes, in the mix, and leave it over night, next day I toss it all in a large skillet, and cook it, delicious !
