A question for those who make mineral makeup: I have some dark blonde/light brown eyebrow powder. I spent a fair amount of money on it, and I don't want it to become useless for me. In a few days I will henna my hair, and I was wondering if there was any kind of ingredient to put in the brow powder to make it more red. TIA!

Red Iron Oxide will work, to blend it you will need to use a mortar and pestle anything else won't blend the Iron Oxide with the minerals. You can't just stir it or sift it in.

So put the brow powder and Red Iron Oxide together in a mortar and grind it all together. I guess I would know by looking at it that it's blended? Thanks y'all!

Yes, that's right. Just be sure you use a very small amount of iron oxide first, then blend. You never know how strong it will be, so add a little at a time.:whoohoo:

When you blend your mineral makeup brow color with the iron oxide and use the mortar and pestle you will see streaks of the iron oxide as it is being blended. It should take about 20-30 minutes to get it all mixed together. Iron oxide is pure pigment so it only takes a very very small amount. Depending on the amount of mineral powder you have I would say use just a few grains of the iron oxide at first and see how it blends. You can always add more but once you have too much it is very hard to fix it.
ETA: You probably won't notice a big color change but when you apply it that is when you will notice it. So try it first before you add more red iron oxide to your minerals.

I get mine from a company in California. Since you only need a small amount you can order the sample size of the Red Iron Oxide.
ETA: If all you want to order is the Red Iron Oxide, PM me. Their minimum shipping charge is $4.50.
