has anyone had luck with reducing the appearance of LARGE pores?

I think some people have had luck with the Oil Cleansing Method, even if their skin is oily. I think the ones on my nose look smaller since I've been doing it, but I've only been doing it for a few days.

I've noticed the pores on my nose have gotten smaller since I've been using pure unrefined shea butter.

Ugh!!! I have pores the size of Lake Superior. And OCM does not work for me. I have had some luch with 2% BHA lotion and AHA Souffle and a gentle retinol serum. :grinhappy:

I find that a combination of OCM, moisturizing with jojoba oil, daily use of mineral makeup, and a once weekly use of a BHA/AHA serum does the trick to keep my pores clear. It's a bit of a pain, but so far this is the only thing that's worked for me. If you're really desperate, you could use an extractor tool.

I know some people have had luck with lemongrass EO in their OCM, but OCM doesn't work for everyone.

But keeping your pores looking clean will reduce the appearance of them. Things like doing an aspirin mask once a week and using BHA lotion or toner might help you with that (but don't go overboard! Skin is tricky stuff, so a little at a time). If you really want to go for a treat, have your pores cleaned at a salon. There are a couple of threads lurking around the skin care board, so look there.

I recommend a clay mask. It works great for me.

I've been using Everyday Minerals lately and I've gotten fewer blackheads and overall cleaner skin.

What about concealing them? Does anybody have a good primer to fill in pores w/o clogging them and making the matter worse?

I used to use a Clinique product called Pore Minimizer Lotion that really worked great. This was years ago though, I don't know if they still have it now.
