I use bleach on my face about once in a month. I use a repute brand in India(fem). But i was curious if there could be any harmful effects of it. My skin feels a little dry the next day but by the 2nd day it settles.
Does anyone know of any long-term ill effects of bleach???
I have no problems yet but its always goo dto know the other side of teh coin.
Thank you for any replies.

First of all, what is in the bleach you use? It's hard to tell if there are side effects without knowing what's in it.

Anything on how much Hydrogen Peroxide there is?
Hydrogen Peroxide is the same as regular bleach for hair. It bleaches hair and skin. It can be irritating to skin, and the fumes may irritate eyes and respiratory system. However, if you use it just once a month, there's probably nothing to worry about. Just remember to apply sunscreen to the area properly, since bleach makes skin more sensitive to sunlight.
Ammonium Bicarbonate is also a skin irritant and, just like Hydrogen Peroxide, the fumes and dust can irritate eyes and respiratory system.
Over time, the bleach you use might make skin more sensitive to exposure, especially sunlight considering where you live. It may become thinner and drier. But on the bright side, you probably won't have problems with acne there.:innocent:
