Just out of curiosity, where do you have your shoulder straps on your bras adjusted? Mine are as long as possible, on almost all of my bras. Does this mean my girls are lower on my torso than most women?

Where are YOUR straps adjusted to?!

I have to do that too. I think it has to do with the thickness of the shoulders. A properly fitting bra does not hike up in the back. It should lay nice and straight across the back. Have you noticed all the upside down V shaped bra straps in some of the hair pics? Those are not well fitting bras. My straps are usually let out to the max. I've had to leave a lot of pretty bras in the store because they wouldn't let out far enough.

What I don't understand is how to get a snugly fitting band without it cutting into the blubber, um, I mean back fat. :blushing:

It's hard to find a bra that doesn't cut in to the back fat. You have to try on a lot. If you can go to a store like Dillards or Nordstroms. They have trained bra fitters. Go in and get measured and fitted. You'll learn a lot about what to look for. Their bras can be quite expensive so be prepared for price tag shock if you've never looked at them before.

Thanks to Nordstrom's awesome bra fitters, I know how a bra is supposed to fit. And that the math method of figuring out your bra size is a useless joke.

Their bras aren't all expensive. They have CK bras, which go for about $36 a pop. Not bad, and they're nice.

I've been used to wearing bras from Target or Kohls and paying $15-$20. Years ago when I worked in an upscale department store (similar to Nordstroms) I learned how to measure myself and what made for a good fitting bra. An ill fitting bra can make life miserable.

The front side of your bra band should be at the same height as the back side of your bra band.

I've seen a lot of upside-down V's too in hair pictures. Part of having a good fit on a comfortable, well-made bra would be to have both the front and back bands be level with one another.

It depends on the cut of the bra. Straps should not take the weight of the breasts; that’s for the band. (And yes, I’ve seen the same issue with bands on LHC. They look like frowny faces.)

I wear most of my bands very low, but that helps to eradicate my visible back fat. However, low for me is relative since I’m extremely short-waisted. The bands often are just above my waist.

My straps are usually at the shortest setting and some still slide off my shoulders. I have rather bony shoulders. :purplex:
