I have a plastic bag on my head. I was blown out of my shower while I had a head full of conditioner. And it was drippy. So, voila. Improvised showercap! (My hair needed the soak anyway.)
I laughed, and thought other LHCers (and BBers) would understand.

Oh, I do that all the time! I really should buy a shower cap, but a bag works just as well.

Sometimes I think the bag works better than the shower cap :gurn:
But snowbear..if you're going to be staying in hotels in Hawaii you can probably request a shower cap there if there isn't already one in the bathroom and then take it home with you and see how you like it :grinhappy:
I love having a showercap just so I don't always have to get my hair wet when showering :whoohoo:

I must be an oddball here. I actually have a bunch of showercaps I bought at the drug store, 1 for henna, 1 for CO, and 1 for the shower. They're super cheap ($1.49 - $2 each depending on size), and convenient! I actually take perverse pleasure in buying the ugliest ones I can find. My current winner is a massive white one with polka dots in various colours.

It still dripped. But, after having a long soak, my hair feels awesome today.

Oh MAN. I want that showercap so much :lafhard: I have three pastel ones and one giant turquoise one. The giant turquoise one doesn't really fit though, as I am rather tiny.

My hair loves a nice long conditioner soak. :grinhappy:
I have a pile of shower caps, as well. For henna, conditioning and showering.
They are all in shades of pink. ( I love pink.) :whoohoo:

I've always used plastic bags for SMT's, only because I've never even owned a shower cap! I've never needed one, I guess I've perfected the art of showering without getting my hair wet

Same here. I especially like that I don't have to clean them!

You can also find at Wal-Mart a package of 15 disposable cheapie showercaps for about $1. Mine has them only in the ethnic section tho'.

Plastic bags work wonderfully!
This thread has reminded me that I need a new showercap... Mine aren't working so hot anymore. Oh well, that's about three months use or so... good enough.

Yes, I totally stock up on mine at Walmart too! One thing i just discovered at Sally's, in the section with hair coloring supplies, is little shower caps just for your ears. They're so cute! And I always wind up accidentally hennaing my ears because I forget to put vaseline on them. I used the ear covers last time, and they worked great!

No such luck :/
I'm guessing 200 could be the next happy place. *growls in Steph's direction* and there better be more color
I think I need to get more shower caps so I can have them for specific uses and/or rotate..or just to have neat shower caps. Darn LHC..makes me want to collect everything :whyme:
