I have looked but don't see an explanation of the difference.

TIA!

*patiently awaiting answer*

I've been curious about this as well.

Is this just going to be something with post counts? Reputation? Both? Neither?

Well, the Premium Membership is for those who pay for premium membership. There will be a few extra perks once I get all of the kinks worked out of the system. I think I'm going to tie reputation into it, as well (once you reach a certain reputation amount, you're a premium member without payment). It's more of a "Support The Beauty Bottle" to help us stay up and running since we're verging on needing to upgrade to a fully dedicated server which is going to cost about double what I'm currently paying.

I'm still trying to decide exactly how I'm going to do this, so nothing yet. ;)

Ahhh..okay Steph! Thanks for replying!! :lafhard:

I'm the member of one forum that had a one time fee to post (and more one time fees for more features) and methinks I'd be willing to help keep TBB up for some perks (or more color..oh how I love the rainbows!) :grinhappy:

Well, the additional features have to be really worth it to me and would have to be features I'd pay to use, myself, if I had to. I'm thinking that photo hosting would be a good plan. Also, allowing members to choose their own usertitle, a larger PM box, and some more things as I think of them. :)

Oh! More PM space! Now you just *know* I need that! :lafhard:

Ooooh PM space. That'd be good.

Photohosting would be nice but....any chance that'd backfire..like end up costing more? Or is that totally off base (*has no idea about running websites/costs/hosting/etc. Should keep her mouth shut but is curious :evileye: *)

*whispers about more colors*

Hey, I say make the bump up to Premium when someone has 21 rep points! Yep, yep, yep.

Does that mean premium members could be rowdy with alcohol??

Ooo. I like the "choosing your own usertitle" thing.

Another forum I was on provided their premium members the opportunity to test new board features beforehand, and there was a special "VIP board".

I've been on lists where they've charged people "subscription fees" if they were simply lurkers and did not participate with a certain number of posts.

These were on recipe lists where lurkers were getting the advantage of lots of recipes without giving anything back.

Maybe this would work here, too? The concept is much the same - people getting information, taking advantage of the knowledge and advice available, yet only providing bits in return? Charge a sub fee and let them lurk to their heart's content!

Just noting that while I'm not sure it's final, you can see sub fees and what you get for them.

Go to User CP and under "Miscellaneous" click Paid Subscriptions.

Tells you what you get and the yearly price.

How could I not, with all my trips to user CP to search for the reputation stuff :gurn:?

So is it final or no? :grinhappy:

The multiple options with different pricing was a good idea..as well as letting automatic renewal be a choice :whoohoo:
