Eew... And to think I had seriously considered extensions just for fun at one point.
I remember that whole thing with Christina Aguleira. I remember her being on the news and reporters saying something about baldness due to damage and that she was sporting a very short, low-damage style until her hair regrew back. That made me think twice about extensions.

 That's too funny, Shermie Girl!
Yet another reason to take care of your hair and let it grow... less damage than extensions! So you have to be patient............ at least you won't end up bald!

Whoa!:geek: Who woulda thunk it? You know, it always looked so good on the screen. That just shows how much they touch up everything. It makes me think back to when I tried everything on the market and now use VO5, Suave and aloe gel, the cheapest things there are almost and my hair is healthier than ever. Sometimes little is MUCH! :lafhard:

Its sad these things happen. But in a way its good these things happen to celebrities. The whole word comes to know the truth about how damaging these things can be.
In India, right now colouring, straightening are the rave. All our astresses have highlighted hair. But its nice to notice that long hair too is in fashion. Almost all the stars are having nearly waistlength hair. But sad they gottu colour and highlight all of the length.
Maybe we should invite Ms Aniston here..

Bald patches?! :boggle: Yikes! I didn't realize she had extensions. It should occur to me knowing how long it takes to grow long hair. I guess I don't really pay attention. I stopped taking fashion cues from celebrities a long time ago. :lafhard:

I couldn't see the picture, but I've never understood the fascination with Jennifer Aniston's hair, but it doesn't surprise me that she has extensions. I've worn extensions several times before with no problem. I think the reason that a lot of celebs wear extensions and end up with major damage is because they leave all the haircare up to the super stylist and don't take care of it themselves. They make sure the extensions look good and don't do anything for the hair underneath.

And that's a reason I'd never ever get extensions..not that I would anyway.
And I don't pay enough attention to celebrities to know what they are doing
I honestly have never really understood any of the obsessions with jennifer aniston. *shrug* oh well

I heard she uses Mane&Tail. Why do I remember this stuff?! But hey, at least she learned her lesson, right? And the extensions were still better than the majority, I could never tell she had them.

....fish eggs in me hair??
That just sound gross. Though instead of being shampoo you could probably combine with honey/condish/yogurt and make a good DT :lafhard:

The hair she had in "Friends" was real, it was afterwards that she got the extensions
I remember when she cut off her hair. She had lovely waist length honey-streaked hair that I thought was beautiful, then she cut it all off to chin length. I know she was really upset afterwards, and had mentioned in several interviews that this was a huge mistake.
I hope she can grow it back out successfully! I know that feeling of regret all too well.
And *eek* to the bald patches!

I've briefly thought about extensions once or twice, when I was growing out my bangs - it would have been good to skip the awkward phase.
Then again, it's really expensive so I never seriously considered it - luckily!
Off topic: Entsirk, lovely siggy pictures! I really like that updo on the right.
Edit: whohoo, I can edit! When did that happen?
I still miss the LHC siggy pictures, seeing most people's hair. And I really miss the hair type information!

Seriously...imo i always thought she used extensions before, even before I knew much about them! Her hair has just changed length way to quick and color...maybe the last round really did her hair in for a long while. Although I will say in comparision to people like Britanny Spears, ect who have extensions, Jennifer's looked way better. But so many pictures I see of her are SEVERELY photoshopped. Even alot of the highlights in those pictures are not real. I was just looking at one the other day..
I know it sounds mean but everytime I see BS's hair I just think why is it so yellow and wet-dog like? Sorry any fans out there, maybe she is a great person, ect. But her hair looks completely ruined by extensions.
keeps me away from going down that road to get long hair:sweatdrop:

And I hyperventalated when I spent $16. on a bottle of conditioner one time.
Sheesh! But, IMO, The lovely hair I see on LHC looks better than hers and I doubt any of us are spending $100. a bottle! :boggle:

I'm not much of a celebrity watcher but I have to admit that I really liked Jennifer Aniston's hair when it was long, mostly because of the colour.
It was just kind of nice to see a celebrity who had healthy long hair that wasn't bright blonde, brunette or red. I think it's a pity she cut it! :(

If you are talking about Alterna caviar shampoo? Tried it. Don't waste your money (no, I didn't pay 100.00, but it was expensive) it's just shampoo, plain & simple. The "caviar & truffles", what miniscule ammount there may be in it, make no sweet nevermind, rest assured. It's just a marketing gimmick, like most things. You aren't missing anything.

Oooh! Thank you, Hedera :grinhappy:
I miss LHC siggy's too.
As for the updo..hrmm..I think it might have been an attempted figure 8?? That's what most of my updos are :whyme:
I always make them look cool somehow and can never ever repeat it even though I pay close attention to what I'm doing most of the time..seriously updo challenged here.
Especially since..you know...all of my cool looking updos were supposed to be figure 8s
