I'm sitting here with a bunch of brightly colored Spoodles on my head, wondering what my hair will look like in the morning :ooh: .

Has anyone tried these?

I thought a spoodle was a type of dog! :boggle:

Hi! If they are what I *think* they are then yes. How's that for vague? I am asssuming that these are bendy rods that you use to set hair (twist and roll up?) If that's what they are then yea! :grinhappy: If not, then sorry!--but you have definately piqued my curiosity! Let us know how it turns out!

LOL Amber, who know what kind of dogs they are making now days!! Cockerpoos, schitzadoodles, what next?!

Joyful373, you know what I mean. I'm hoping for some kind of curling iron without the heat kind of look, since I'm hopeless with one of those and don't want the heat damage anyways. I am just unsure of how to twist it to get a nice curl happening, or how far up, etc... I guess I'll keep experimenting until I get something I like, I have a wedding next weekend so I have a few days to try this out.

A pic, if you can make heads or tails of it...

Are they called spoodles because they give you poodle head hair??

Are these the same types of things that the rule is 'less is more' to get soft curls instead of looking insane?

Hope it works out--if nothing else they're colorful.

If you twist your hair a bit and use smaller locks you will get spirals. I use Kimberlily's Anti Frizz spray on dry hair, twist, wind, and let dry in sun for about 30 minutes.

I prefure the curls to go. I bought these and gave them to a friend who has shorter hair.

Thanks for the photo, Annarose, now I know what a spoodle is!

I must admit, your thread title made me laugh. I'm glad you weren't really sitting there with a bunch of poodle puppies balanced on your head! :D

So after sleeping on these, (not so bad at all!) my hair was still very damp in the morning and it had to be put up for work so the curls got scrunched up in a pony tail for the day. For some reason my ends for about 2 inchs were stick straight but I did have some very nice big thick spirals a la Nellie Olsen! I don't understand why the ends went straight, I coiled them around the rollers just like the rest of my hair, maybe they stayed too wet and didn't take, although I had enough Angell in there to hold like crazy glue.

Sorry I don't have any pics to show you all, next time I will take some for sure. And next time I think I will only spritz my hair instead of a full co'ing first.

I'll try again Friday night and take pics in the morning :grinhappy: .

Are your rollers fabric covered? :boggle: I have some similar rollers, but mine are plastic covered wire with a soft rubber cover over that, and at each end there's a spot for hair to tangle around the wire, so they're a pain to use.

They create fantastic curls, but i find you need to use them on hair that's almost dry, unless you're willing to get a hood dryer involved. If you want tight curls then you need to start with quite damp hair, but if you want a loose curl then you can start with almost dry hair. I usually wash my hair and wait till it's barely damp - it's starting to feel dry but you know it's not. Either that or start with dry hair and use a touch of water from your mister.

I'm off to see if I can get me some spoodles now :whoohoo:
