Help for the Fashion-impaired

That would be me.

I have a few blue/navy summer dresses and have bought these shoes to wear with them:

The problem I'm having is what type of hose to wear. I never go bare-legged so that option is out.

Does one wear
1. Sheer navy hose to continue with the "blue" theme
2. Sheer beige/ivory hose to provide contrast. My legs are blinding white anyway.
3. Whatever color hose, does one wear "toe-less" hose with these types of shoes ? Is it OK to wear regular hose with open-toe shoes?

As far as colour is concerned, I've never been a fan of coloured hose other than black. It looks too 80's power suit to me. I'd go with nude.

The article mentions Aristoc Soleil Open Toe Tights, but I wasn't able to find them online. Maybe try ebay?

I have worn black fishnets with shoes much like the ones you bought. They look really sexy.

Voting nude as well here. Gotta say, though, that I rather envy the fashion police whose concern about wearing hose with sandals is so overarching. It must be quite a feeling to rise above the petty concerns of overpopulation, pollution, starvation, war, disease, and the truly serious ripped cuticle.

Just saw this and THANK YOU LADIES for the laughs! I agree with the "go bare-legged", just because it's easier. There is leg-bronzing stuff (fake tan in a bottle) if you don't want to just get a LITTLE sun on your legs. And I'm in awe of those who can rise above the "seriously ripped cuticle". That's just mind-boggling that anyone can forget such things!

I really should not be answering this thread as I am hopelessly horrible when it comes to fashion, but I vote nude or very light beige hose too.
