What to do? I keep getting the urge to color my hair.....this is after cutting it short to remove the dyed/hennaed ends.....anyone use a non permanent color for a change that doesn't really last?
I am 42 and have really started greying...so much so that sometimes I do not recognize myself in the mirror....I don't know if anyone else understands? I do like my hair color but miss the contrast between it and my skin....

I used Clairol Natural Instincts and it gave me fantastic results.:whoohoo: I am 31, but I also have a lot of gray especially around the sides of my face and at the crown of my head.
Natural Instincts is 100 percent pure and has Aloe, Ginseng, and Chamomile in it and is extremely gentle, no harsh stuff. I opted not to use the conditoner that came with the package though because it contained lots of Cones in it. After I rinsed it out, I used my regular conditioner afterwards.
Here is a link in case you want to read more about it. http://http://www.clairol.com/naturalinstincts/home.jsp

You could try a Roux Fanci-Full rinse, it comes out completely in the next shampoo. Can't get more temporary than that! Of course, that may be more temporary than you want.
You can get it at almost any drugstore, I get it at WalMart. Here is a good color chart (http://www.cachebeauty.com/wholsale/roux_rinse.htm). I have Plush Brown, but Pretty Beaver (LOL!) would be better for me since it is ash-toned.

Remember to do a moisturizing deep treatment, like SMT, before you perform the deed. Even temporary colour can stick to dry or porous hair, my cousin learned that when she toned her blonde red. The first time it worked fine, since she'd done a deep treat before, but the second time she had to grow it out since she hadn't done a deep treat before.

on me it causes permanent color change. I always get red tones no matter what color I use so I am thinking of the really temporary stuff. I will look into the fanciful product. It sounds like what I want. Something so I can play with the color but not committ to the real thing.lol
