Hey folks, I'm a TLHC person who's wandered over for advice. A friend of mine mentioned that there's a vampire masquerade ball coming up, and I'd like to go. Problem is, I only know how to do one thing with makeup, and it's a silly thing that I don't think fits me.

I love the dramatic, dark makeup, contrasting goth look, and I'd try it for this vampire gig...but I'm a strawberry blonde (http://pics.livejournal.com/kestrelct/gallery/0000ss8c has some pictures which show my coloring well -- one of them shows a bare back but they're safe for work), and it always makes me feel sort of goofy, since it seems like it's optimized for someone with dark hair.

So, oh lovely and brilliant makeup whizzes, what sorts of stuff can I do to look vampire-y without looking like a doofus? Thanks!

Well, you can still do a deep red lip, but go with something a bit brighter than the usual blackish red that most people go with for a gothy vampire look.

For your eyes, I'd suggest plummy shades instead of the usual blacks and greys. False eyelashes would be great too.
