OMG!

Hubby and I went to DSW today and I saw a pair of Naught Monkey (http://zeta.zappos.com/search/Shoes/filter/gender/%22Womens%22/productTypeFacet/%22Shoes%22/categoryFacet/%22Shoes%22/brandNameFacet/%22Naughty+Monkey%22) (linked to Zappos) shoes that caught my eye. I have to admit I thought they were hideous at first, but had to try them on. They were VERY comfortable, especially considering the heal. I think they are just funky enough to be odd, but not too weird that I wouldn't wear them.

eta: what did I use to have in my siggy that is now missing???
This is the shoe I tried on, but in green, I like the red ones better. (http://zeta.zappos.com/product/7483896/color/3)
I also like these in coral (http://zeta.zappos.com/product/7514255/color/2957).

Who has tried Naughty Monkey shoes?

ETA: what was in my siggy that is no longer showing???

I used to be able to wear heels like that, but I can't anymore. Darn bunions.

Are you going to get yourself a pair?

I have to admit they are a little wild for me, but I'd sure love to see them on someone else.

Shoe Frenzy 2009? Sure! :wethree: bwhahahahaha

I'm not saying I can actually wear them, but I think they are ADORABLE! And actually pretty comfortable. *IF* I got them I'd only wear them on an occasional basis - like dinner at a friend's house. I certainly couldn't (wouldn't is more like it) wear them to teach in. LOL

Oooooh, these are terribly cute! Shame the shipping to the UK is $40... Though my SO offered to sponsor a pair :soppy: , I'll just have to decide which ones to go for!

Jel, which style do you like the best?

That is a good question! I like the ones linked above, plus Diamond Girl (http://zeta.zappos.com/product/7484031/color/695), Stripe ZZZ (http://zeta.zappos.com/product/7483976/color/18), Headliner 2 (http://zeta.zappos.com/product/7487429/color/18) and 4 Square (http://zeta.zappos.com/product/7483911/color/3). How can I pick just one pair? :sweatdrop:

Oh yeah. I like those. Especially in cream.

My problem here is that I like them all... :D

So did anyone order these?

I'd maybe get some if I could try them on in a store. I wouldn't order on line.

If you go to Zappos you can get free shipping both ways ;)

I would fall over dead in heels like that, but they sure are cute. I wish they had more flats that I liked.

If you go to Zappos you can get free shipping both ways ;)The free shipping both ways would make it more tempting. I can wear a 9, 9 1/2, or 10 depending on the shoe. I never know what size I'm going to take. If I already had a pair of shoes in a brand I might consider it if the shipping was free. I like to do my looking on line and then use the store locators to find a store and try them on.

I had to try on a size (or was it just a half-size) larger than normal, but that is probably because my feet tend to be wide AND I have a buniony thing on my foot.

I still realllllly want these shoes! I have to figure out how my new orthotics will feel in heels. Probably not very good since the orthotics have me rolling out (since I pronate). I don't want to fall off of heels that are THAT high! : pout:

I remember falling off my platforms back in the 70s and landing in the gutter. I'm such a graceful girl! And I wasn't even drunk :lafhard:

That sounds like something *I'd* do! ;)

See, that's why I can't even consider these shoes. I have a bunion on my right foot that is bad enough to require surgery. I'll probably be doing it next summer. I'll never be able to wear shoes like these :(
