Hi folks, I have never really worn make-up beyond lippy/gloss and a little mascara.

Now, I am in need to have a 'perfect' face for shcool/working perposes [I am attending a Pharmacy Assistants course].

I have a face with a hint of redness, My neck is page white.

I managed to buy a very light shade Powdered bronzer and a light Powdered shimmer. That suits me :)

When I put moisturiser on, it cakes, what am I doing wrong. It does look good on dry skin.

Edited to clarify, I put moisturiser on, wait a bit, then the bronzer, it goes funny.
If I don't put moisturiser on at all, the bronzer is fine.

Also any hints about Powdered bronzers, would help.
Many thanks :)

I am so not a make-up guru, but my first guess is that you're not waiting until your moisturizer is thoroughly absorbed.

:) Thank You.

Im starting to think I am putting way too much moisturiser on, as it has a 'sunscreen' in it [30+], It leaves a shiny look.

Try just using a few drops of jojoba oil as moisturizer, waiting around 15 minutes for it to absorb.

Eucerine (http://rosacea-support.org/eucerin-redness-relief-product-reviews.html)has a new redness product, I bought it last week and it is wonderful. It helps calm the skin and reduce the redness. It's got a green cast to it and also has sunscreen in it. Comes in a nice little pump bottle and it takes very little to cover your whole face. It claims to be safe for rosacea.

I also have the red face  but it has gotten SO much better since finding LHC and TBB. Now it only flares up in heat or after exersice, etc. Here's what I do:

I know some people wash morning and night, but I only wash at night. I moisturize with Suncat's facial moisturizer and aloe vera gel, and it's got plenty of time to sink in before I put my make up on the next morning.

I've switched from conventional makup to Suncat's MMU. She has shades that are tinted towards yellow, and these help a lot. They also have a natural SPF. (there's threads on MMU around here if you're interested in more info)

I've switched from harsh cleansers to using CV soap bars on my face. I have recently had more issues with acne, which is a rarity for me, but I blame it on sweaty California summer more than the soap bars.

I satrted all of this... maybe 4 or 5 months ago, and I have never had a more even complexion. The redness is much less, and my pores have gotten smaller too.

Can't help with the bronzer though, that stuff does not work on my pale skin.

Hope that helps a little. :grinhappy:
