Can someone verify that you can use the 1200 grit buffer with oil to buff the nails to a glossy natural shine?

I have no idea. But you can get a 4-sided buffer for as little as $2 at the store to give your nails a smooth, shiny look. And then you can rub a little avacado oil into your nails and cuticles - gives your nails nice shine and helps keep them and your cuticles healthy.

I have one of those 4 way buffer things, but I always wondered if it was not that great for the nails, though it certainly gives a great look.

Yeah, I've heard that using them (or any buffer for that matter) too frequently can actually be bad for your nails and makes them thinner and weak. I think once a month is the recommended use for them. I only use mine a couple times a year. I usually forget I even own it LOL or have polish on or just plain don't feel like taking the time to use it.

Speaking from experience, if you have thinner nails buffing is a baaaaad idea. It makes them shiny, but then they break off...

Yea, I get the Ms. Manicure 4-sided buffer from Target for .99! It lasts me a few months, buffering weekly. Then I go get another one. For under $1 you can't beat it.
