Mine are ever changing, but this is pretty much my typical routine.

Spirulina tablets (immune system, oxygenation, and general health)
Biotin (huge dose, hoping to coax my cells to regenerate fast enough to give me a new body)
5-HTP (depression - this stuff rocks my world)
Omega-3 complex (works hand-in-hand with the 5-HTP for depression, but also for general health)
Bromelain (my sinuses)
Acidophilus (body balance)
Natrol Energy Multi (just 'cause this stuff rocks)
Ester-C (also for immune system)

I've been alternating the Omega-3 Complex with Flax Seed Oil (with ground flax seeds) but have just heard that flax seed oil goes rancid very quickly after pressing, so am entertaining the thought of just buying flax seeds in bulk, keeping them in the freezer, and chomping on them everyday.

Anyone else? :)

Half a daily multi.
Calsium-Magnesium-Zinc tablet.
Herbal capsule for hair and skin, just for fun.

I'm really bad about taking them though... Especially with the multi, I skip days all the time because I just forget :whyme:

Chewable multivitamin (Flintstones--it really is the best!)
Iron tablet (with added vitamin C for absorption)

I'd like to take something for hair growth but I'm nervous about it affecting my skin... And I have a really hard time swallowing pills, hence the chewable multi. I cut the iron tablet into quarters with a pill cutter.

I am not big on supplements, as I would rather get what I need through food; however I do take a daily multi-vitamin-- the chewable kind b/c I find them to double as a sweet treat. :) I also take a cacium phosphorous supplement daily. I 'used' to be diligent with a Hair, Skin, Nails supplement, but I got off track with that. I 'may' start taking G&C for this osteoarthritis that I've developed, but I'll decide on that after I see my spinal specialist.

Right now, I take a multi-vitamin for general health.
Two fish oil capsules
3 acidophilus (one at each meal)
I also consume a couple of teaspoons of ground flax seeds almost everyday. They are not a problem if I eat cereal or a smoothie in the morning but I dislike eating them plain or in a glass of water. So, 6 out of 7 days I eat them. (Ok, ok..you caught me. I have to have my weekly donut fix :ooh: )

Hi! I cut up the clove, douse it with honey, and swallow it. Usually I can get it down in one spoonfull, if its not a big clove. Do NOT chew it. I always take it at night, so I usually am brushing my teeth right afterwards. If I am feeling sensitive to the smell/taste, I will use mouth wash, too. I have been told that when taking garlic, you will only smell if you are toxic. I don't know whether this is 100% true or not, but, it seems to be true in my case. When I first started taking it, I thought I could smell it on me, but my mom, who I am around a lot, couldn't, and neither could anyone else I asked. My brother takes it sometimes, and he said that occasionally when he would wake up in the morning he could taste it in his mouth. Hmm, if you swallow it, and then immediately breath on someone, I'm am pretty sure they will smell it. However, if you start taking it, and do smell, it should only be for about the first day.
I've been taking it for a while, and I'm really happy with it. I hope it works out for you!

Once I was in Germany with a friend and he ate a lot of garlic (in pizza, I think). The German woman complained about the smell of Knoblauch, but to me he smelled like a sausage made with wine. He drinks alcohol; I don't.

When I was living in San Francisco, I went to the Italian church around the corner. Once I ate garlic and they said something smelled like food.

When you take garlic, toxins will come out on your skin. Take a bath and scratch off all your blype.

enitsirk, actually I'd perfer to eat frozen custard. We have an AMAZING custard place that is a family owned kind of place which is why I won't mention the name of it since there are only a few locations. But anyway...the place is pretty famous around here. It's so good...dang...now I want to go get something from there. It's pricey but it's so yummy! It also stays in the cup when you turn it upside down.

enitsirk,
Here's some info on evening primrose.
http://www.akins.com/HH/EPO.HTM

Hope that explains it a bit. I don't know much about it, but I kept running across it in health or beauty books, so I started taking it. I really do notice a difference in my skin when I take it or any other essential fatty acid like fish oils. Supposed to be great for inflammatory issues on the skin and skin disorders.

ACKKKK, supplements....add them to my regular chemical soup and I take about 25 pills a day.

Morning:
Chromium
Chromium Picolinate
*Synthroid
*Neurontin 600mg
*WellbutrinXL 300mg
*Hydrochlorthiazide 25mg (blood pressure)
*Benedryl (for itching)

Afternoon:
*Neurontin 300mg

Late Afternoon:
Super B Complex
Magnesium
Extra Calcium Magnesium and Zinc (one pill)
Vitamin B12
*Neurontin 600mg

An hour before bedtime:
*Flexeril 10mg
Stool Softener (3)
Vegetable Laxitives (4-5)

I also take Darvocet, as needed. Since the start of the Neurontin (which basically tells my brain to tell my nerve endings to shut up), I hardly have to take Darvocet any longer.:lafhard:

I take most of my vitamins in the evening, because they can make your appetite increase. Taking them before bedtime, if i'm hungry and asleep, I won't know it! I take the Chromiums in the morning to help with absorbsion of my food and also to curb carb cravings.

To get EXTRA magnesium (which FMS folks lack severely) I take epsom salt baths and foot baths. You can absorb more magnesium thru your skin than you can take orally. Not to mention the relaxation.:gurn:

Stephanie, I hadn't heard of 5-HTP before, but I'm going to go straight to the drug store to get it! I've noticed that my omega-3s (I take two flaxseed oil capsules; I couldn't stay consistent with the bottled kind) totally help keep my moods from plummetting, and my brain from just refusing to work. Thank you for sharing.

My supplement routine is all Nature's Path vitamins:

Women's multi
Two flaxseed capsules (for mood & brain function)
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Chromium piccolate (to curb my sweet tooth when it gets out of hand)

The extra C and E, as well as the omega-3s, are on the advice of my brother, who was a pharmacy tech, armchair nutritionist, and now is in his third year of med school. He's bipolar, so he's huge on his sister getting enough omega-3s!

Can't wait to try the 5-HTP...

I'm taking 1 Ultra Hair Plus at night and 1 EFA (Omegas 3, 6, and 9). In the morning I am taking 1 Phyto hair supplement, 1 EFA and 1 5-HTP. Sometimes I throw in some Vit C and zinc as well.

I have run out of my Ultra Hairs temporarily and I must, again, say how much they keep me from shedding. I have not had one in nearly a week (my own fault for not reordering sooner) and in my last shower, I was back to losing a whole bunch of hair.
