Ok, who knows what kind of excersises are useful to firm up the girls? I know gravity and wear and tear can make changes that only surgery can fix but I am hoping to firm up what I have while I am dieting. I feel clueless about this though. I have 5 pound hand weights. Any suggestions? :gurn:

this reminded me of an exercize my friend would do when we were like 12/13 years old
she would chant over and over
i must
i must
i must increase my bust
the bigger the better
the tighter the sweater
the boys will notice us

lol any chest exersizes that men do for their pecs will probably help with the "girls"

Exercises will generally help with lift, but not heft. I know that women who use progesterone cream or wild yam cream for hormone balance often have a side effect of firmer or larger breasts. I also saw a supplement pack at GNC that is supposed to cause breast growth similar to that during puberty.

Thanks eaglesflight I do not want bigger just firmer. he he. I may have to do some of squiggyflops bust firming chants. I too did those way back then... I was told push ups are good for firming up the chest muscles.

Okay, I'll be juvenile and admit that I pictured the squishy orbs of fun doing curls with 5lb hand weights :ooh: :whoohoo:

Have you ever seen that advice that says they'll be firmer if you go braless? That wearing a bra actually trains them to sag? I don't believe it. Just look at any National Geographic pictures of indigenous people who don't wear bras. 'Nuff said.

Sooo... my advice is to wear a supportive, well-fitting bra. As you reduce, you may go through several. :twocents:

I'm pretty sure you can't do anything about the breasts themselves, but you can tone the muscles underneath them (pushups, etc.). Depending on your own physiology, that could change a lot or nothing. For me personally (and yeah, I know I'm young and have never had kids) keeping my chest muscles primed does a lot. And it also helps with better shoulder definition too.

cscheck When I was your age my breasts "floated" LOL It has really been only lately that I am concerned. It probably is my new obsession now that I am losing weight. Yes Hairstorm I am afraid of sporting the National Geographic look. Thanks to Kimberlily I bought an Enell bra to run in and those babies aren't going anywhere when I work out. I am really thinking the muscles supporting the breasts need to be firmed up and probably that is all you can do unless you spend some money and find a great surgeon.

I need to get a new bra for running in or my girls will be flopping about too much! I hold my boobs when I run on the treadmill but I won't be able to do that when I'm running on the beach!
Any recommendations?

Yes gilly Enell bra! Kimberlily told me about it and I went to a local runners store and bought one. It is the only bra that has held them in place. I am a C /D cup. One is a little bigger than the other. They are a little pricey but really do the job. I may buy another since I am washing this one more often when I run. Google it and it will tell you how to measure for a perfect fit. I am very happy with mine. :lafhard:

I think excercies that increase pec muscles on men would do the same for women. Afterall, breasts are just fat and muscle.

But one needs to remember that if breasts are partially fat, doing any workout that burns fat in that area *could* make them smaller. It could make them larger as well, you never know really. :purplex:

*starts singing* Do your breasts hang low? Do they wobble to and fro? Can you tie them in a knot? Can you tie them in a bow? Can you throw them over your shoulder like a continental solider? Do your breast hang low?:lafhard: *continues humming and walks out of the room*

Luckily, you're not actually supposed to be able to "spot reduce", though you can tone muscles locally to hold in whatever's underneath them.

I'll bet pushups and bench presses (on the heavy side of what you can do, so you only get a few reps in) could go far in maximizing the bulk of the pectorial muscle under the breasts, so you can at least look a bit bigger.

I've heard that a lot of the saggy/pancake breasts you see in National Geo. have to do with how you stop breast feeding, so they don't completely deflate. However, I don't know the details.

I don't really think "how you stop breastfeeding" is the reason the National Geographic women have long skinny breasts. I would go for the support issues. I wear bras and good supportive ones at that. I do not have saggy breasts but am losing weight and so concerned that they will deflate with less fat in them. I would actually like to be smaller breasted. Ideally 34B or 34C would be nice. I would like them to also be kept higher not pointing downward as they shrink. I was just wondering if anyone knew some cool boobie secrets. LOL

I remember reading ages ago that the French use water to firm their boobs, apparently they spray them with VERY cold water in the shower, I am a total wimp and have never tried but they do say it works!
I will have to try and find the article!

I'm not sure about any exercises but since I lost weight and about 3 or 4 " in the aforementioned region I have a couple of sad saggy poached eggy shaped blobs:grim:
I have always gone braless but I have actually had to give in and get one to haul things back up a bit:boggle:
Tell me more about this Wild Yam Cream
Gravity Sucks ~ Hard :(

I remembered something :)

"Do your boobs hang low
Can you tie them in a bow
Do you get a funny feeling
When they bounce up to the ceiling
Do your boobs hang low" ;)

Title nine sports is the best - I run and do martial arts (not at the moment) and am up to a D cup (siiighhh) and their bras WORK.

I like to do pushups to keep arms and the 'girls' firm - though I have been lazy about this since I got my new job and am constantly sick from stress. Because I weigh so much (I am a big solid woman with lots of muscle mass) the pushups are basically like weight training, and my pecs are pretty firm.

Losing weight helps too; I am hoping to do this without the NatGeo look.

Clarins recommend this along with thier bust firming cream which I have forgotten the name of:nosey:

This always makes me feel a bit better as the girls in this one aren't looking their firmest in this lol

i wish i could go around braless but im up to a 34d now so its not really an option...

i heard that if you wear a tight sports bra and exfoliate that the breasts wont be saggy after losing weight.
i cant ever seem to find a sports bra in 34d that keeps them from bouncing so much that they hurt... you girls with larger boobs know what im talking about.:depressed:

All exercises that firm chest and shoulder muscles help, but gravity will have its way sooner or later. I'm doing my best to keep the 38DD twins in the "later" category. Oh, and work on the posture, too.

I've committed myself to losing weight this year but fear the twins will end up somewhere around my waist. DH says not to worry. If that happens, he will spring for the money to fix them. I hope he's good as his word. Otherwise it will be living in lovely lingerie 24/7 for this chesty gal.

Bawahahaha!!! :lafhard:

Sorry- no suggestions. :flower:

I have been blessed with girls that still are still perky. But- let me stress I've never had children. I would think the weight gain/loss would play a part in it.

Hope you can find a solution. :flower:
