I was sent this video yesterday, and since then I've viewed it over and over again - so many beautiful ladies! And it's interesting to see how our ideal of what is pretty has changed over the decades!

Just thought I'd share :grinhappy:

That's so cool. The women are all beautiful. It shows how the hair and make up styles have changed over the years.

That's lovely, thanks for posting Miss Murphy!

I'm pleased that I managed to recognise quite a few of them. But I wonder, is it just my PC that's displaying the movie in widescreen? It's slightly deforming the images. I'll try to change the display settings.

Cool, but I wish it paused a little longer on each woman.

Meliora - that is coo, too!

And I'm with teacherbear - I wished the paused a bit longer on the individual faces (the maker of the video said the length was determined by the chello music, which is also why the list of women is in no way concise).

Wow, that was beautiful to watch!

While watching the images I was thinking that although beauty is individual there is a certain style of woman with a certain type of features that is universally recognized as beautiful in spite of her race or ethnicity.

That was lovely. Thank you for sharing that. I'm almost embarrassed to tell you that I knew every woman on the list. I'm an old movie buff.

I was thinking the same thing. Have you heard of the Marquardt Beauty Mask (http://%22http://goldennumber.net/beauty.htm%22)?

Phantasmagoria: I have heard before, but it was interesting to read again. Your link is somehow amiss, though, but this should take anyone interested there:

All of the women in the film are pretty, but some just take my breath away, because they are extraordinary. A few of my favourites, just off the top of my head:
Ann-Margret
Natalie Wood
Grace Kelly
Katharine Hepburn

Beautiful, but I, too, wish it could be slowed down ... to match my brain. By the time I remembered the name of one, six more went by :)

Yeah, that's the one I intended to link to. I wonder what happened..
