Computer Meltdown - Will be off line for a while

My computer died while on line today so I'm not going to be on as often for a while. I'll pop in when I can borrow a computer or get to a public one.

I went to make myself a Meez and while I was on their site my computer started freezing up. I had to reboot to get it unfrozen - then came the blue screen of death and some gibberish about proceeding data dump. My computer is in a loop now of starting up just to go back to that screen over and over again.

I'm going to have a friend of mine take a look at it (he works in IT), but this does not bode well. I'll check in when I can. Oh....what I would give to own an Apple right how instead of a Hewlett Packard!!!!:pissed:

My computer is still down, but DH brought his laptop home from work for me tonight so I could catch up with "all that hair stuff". LOL! What a sweetie! Looks like I'll be able to be on sporadically until I either get mine fixed or get a new one. My IT friend is quite dismayed and said the problem is very severe. DH and I are going to his home tomorrow night for repairs -- if the weather holds out for us. (We're expecting a big snowstorm - again. *sigh*).

But...I'm glad to be able to have a way to stop in now and again until it's fixed or repaired. DS has a Dell desktop model that he doesn't use since he went Apple, and says if he installs some upgraded programming for me I can use/have it until I get a replacement or a fix.

Thanks for missing me though. :flower:

Oh I hope you are not down too long. I miss you as it is and wish the winter would give up so we could get together. (my face could clear up also and that would make me feel like getting out in public)

I have a love/hate relationship with computers myself, Morningstar. I know what you mean about this winter -- it's been a fairly brutal one this year with lots of lousy driving. I hope it warms up soon so we can get together.
