The title pretty much says it all:pissed: I have "Sensitive" feet to start with so I'm always looking for gel insoles etc. but yesterday I tried out my new pair of boots and now I have a huge painful blister on my heel:sob: so what are some good ways to heal blisters quickly, prevent the evil things in the first place and generally maintain feet that find shoes an appalling form of torture

Buy some moleskin.

For breaking in shoes that rub and give you blisters, use the moleskin before you get a blister, or wear nylons or thin socks to give your shoes something to rub on instead of bare skin.

I second the moleskin idea. I saw the photo you posted and I can't tell you how many times I've been there, because I was too silly to remember the moleskin.

Good luck! :grinhappy:

Ouch, that looks very painful! Here, we have special band-aids for blisters. They are very smooth and thin, and are worn until the blister is healed.
Before I had those, I couldn't wear any shoes once I had a blister.

I'll second what Miss Murphy says, as far as treating the blister that's already here. Band-aid is the one brand I tried, and it was amazing how well it worked. I applied the padded bandage and left it on 2 days. I was amazed at how much better it was, and put on another bandage, which I left on 3 or 4 more days, I guess. The adhesive keeps it from rolling or slipping, and the blister heals painlessly.

ETA: Here's (http://www.band-aid.com/productList.do?typeId=4#anchor12) the product I used.

Thanks for starting this thread. My daughter has a huge blister on the bottom of her foot that bleeds. She has gymnastics today, so I will have to definitely get some of these Band-Aids for blisters. I just hope it stays on her sweaty foot while she is doing her gym class.
